Making it Better

When I first moved to Berlin, I started to find broken objects at the side of the street. They were the kind of things you might pass by every day, that are at the periphery of your vision. At first I just wanted to know what they had been, then I started to wonder why they had ended up there in the first place. I collected the pieces of the things together, took them home and cleaned and stuck them together as well as I could. After each one was mended, I took it back to where I found it and left it there.
